elevate Learning is located on The Digital Hub campus in the historic Liberties area of Dublin. This campus is home to some of the world’s most innovative digital media companies and researchers. elevate Learning is an important part of that campus providing state of the art facilities and tailor made courses in a wide range of digital media applications.

The Digital Hub is an Irish Government initiative to create an international centre of excellence for knowledge, innovation and creativity focused on digital content and technology enterprises. The core development of nine acres is located a ten minute walk from the city centre within the historic Liberties area of Ireland’s capital city, Dublin. Over the next decade, this initiative will create a mixed-use development, consisting of enterprise, residential, retail, learning and civic space. The project is managed by an Irish government agency, the Digital Hub Development Agency, which was established in July 2003. |

The Digital Hub’s support for local learning arose out of extensive consultations with the local community, who view The Digital Hub as a means of increasing the employment and educational prospects of local residents. This complements the DHDA’s remit in relation to socially and economically regenerating the area in which it is located. Already, the learning initiative has proven hugely successful. To view the full report click here Between now and 2012, the Agency will continue to tackle the issues of low literacy levels, the ‘digital divide’ and low educational attainment rates within the south west inner city. It will aim to upskill workers in digital media; increase awareness about jobs in the sector; develop an accreditation programme for in-house courses, and establish a ‘learning centre’ of excellence to support 21st Century learning for schools, community and enterprise.
