Autumn Apple Mac Courses for Adults

 

This Autumn elevate is offering a series of short intensive digital media courses.

 Elevate is an Apple Regional Training Centre.

Places are limited to a maximum of ten per course. Participants will be supplied with learning materials.

From Home Movie to iMovie

This course takes place over four Wednesday evenings.

Description:

This course is an introduction to the iMovie video editing software. iMovie allows you to arrange your video clips, still images, and music in the order that best tells your story.

The course covers:

  • Working with clips
  • Adding transitions
  • Working with sound
  • Adding effects
  • Sharing your movie

**Please note that participants should be comfortable with using an Apple mac. If not, we recommend that you do the Getting to Know your Apple Mac course

iLife Course Date: Tuesday 21st October     10:00am – 4:00pm

 

Description:

This course serves as an introduction to using Macs and the iLife suite of software. iLife is the easiest way to make the most out of your Mac by providing a suite of tightly integrated applications that place no limit on your creativity. In this course you will learn how to use various applications to collect, organize and edit elements you want to include in your projects. ILife allows you to share these elements in albums, slideshows, books, calendars, CDs, DVDs, podcasts, websites and more.

iPhoto & Photoshop Elements  

iphoto Course Dates:

14th October to 4th November
6:00-8:00pm

Course takes place over four Tuesday evenings

 

Description:

This course will introduce participants to image manipulation and editing using iPhoto and Photoshop Elements. Still digital cameras will be available to use during the first session or you can use your own pictures. You may wish to bring a memory stick with you so that you can take your work away with you after each session. At the end of the course there will be options to make calendars, photo books and cards created with your favourite pictures.

 

The course covers:
  • Image editing and manipulation
  • iPhoto – Transfer, store and organise photos including slideshow production
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements – Retouch, edit, enhance and adding effects to photographic images.

**Please note that participants should be comfortable with using an Apple mac. If not, we recommend that you do the Getting to Know your Apple Mac course above.
