DigiMedia 2010

The DigiMedia Programme provides unemployed people with an opportunity to develop new digital skills. Participants can choose from a range of modules and the programme also provides structured work placements, which will allow participants a valuable opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills.

The DigiMedia Programme is delivered by Regenerate Media in partnership with Digital Skills Academy, The Digital Hub, Rapid, Obair, Liberties College and St. Kevin’s College.

  

The Curriculum includes optional modules in:

• Web video & internet TV
• VJ & event visuals
• Internet audio
• Digital film and radio
• Internet publishing
• The games industry
• Electronic music production
• Internet marketing
• Digital animation
• Internet customer service

Duration:

The programme runs from 29th, November 2010 until the end of June 2011. There is a choice of two course schedules*:

Morning option:  9am-2pm (Mon.-Thurs.) & 9am-1pm (Fri.)

Afternoon/evening option:  2.30pm-7.30 pm (Mon.-Thurs.) & 2.30pm - 6.30pm (Fri.)

*Additional hours will be required for project work and structured work placements

Certification offered:

FETAC Major Award at Level 4 or 5.

Who can apply?

Adults (over 18), in receipt of an unemployment payment for a period of at least three consecutive months, or equivalent thereof, before joining the programme.

Costs & Allowances:

Co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Union, courses in the programme are free of charge. You should check with your local department of social protection office regarding your welfare entitlements before enrolling on the Digi Media programme.
