Digital Hub FM aims to deliver training in Radio production using digital tools integrated with training and opportunities for Radio broadcasting. The target groups of the project are participants, both adults and young people, from the local communities adjacent to The Digital Hub and more broadly across Inner City Dublin. Since 2005 over 100 learner participants have taken part in media training and broadcasting. A number of courses offering FETAC Certification have been delivered including Evening Courses and Back-To-Education-Initiative Day Courses. Other courses have been tailored for specific groups of learners, such as for the NCBI's (National Council for the Blind of Ireland) Iona Adult Centre for Vision Impaired People in Glasnevin.

"after the first one I loved it, I loved going on the radio, because everyone saying 'your great, I heard ya in a taxi' and things like that... it opened up that I was able to do other things that I wouldn't have done before... I did more courses and didn't feel like, you wont be able to do it. After doing the radio, I felt as if, I can do that, I can do anything." - Josie Sheehan |
