New Radio Studio

Our new radio studio had it's first live broadcast of Digital Hub fm this morning.  Minister Eamon O'Cuiv was interviewed by our radio station on Friday November 21st by on the Dublin 8 Connections Show which is hosted by Liz O'Connor, Charlie Hammond and John Gallagher. Fás DigiFilm and TV Course

Fifteen aspiring filmmakers who were selected from among tough competition to participate in the innovative new course, DigiFilm & TV, being delivered by The Digital Hub in partnership with Fás started their course this morning. As part of the ten month programme, participants will be mentored by industry professionals and will produce two digital short films. For this they will be teaming up with participants undertaking a parallel part-time morning course, Performance Skills in Digital Media.

Apple RTC Conference

As an Apple Regional Training Centre we will be hosting a conference for Apple educators on 11-12th November. Over a hundred delegates from the UK and Irish network of training centres will come together over two days. Delegates will discuss and share their digital media educational projects, expertise and experiences. The potential of innovative new technologies and programmes as future teaching and learning tools will also be explored and debated.

Launch of 'Da Gist' Pilot TV Programme

Launch of Da Gist TV programme. Teenagers from inner-city Dublin were at the IFI in Temple Bar this afternoon for a special big-screen viewing of a television programme they produced themselves.

‘Da Gist’, a new series targeted at 14 to 21 year-olds, was developed through a partnership between Bradóg Regional Youth Services and The Digital Hub. It was produced with the support of the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland’s Sound and Vision funding scheme.

Launch of DARETOBEDRINKAWARE 2008

DARETOBEDRINKAWARE third level film competition launched. A film competition aimed at promoting responsible attitudes towards alcohol was launched today (09.10.08) at The Digital Hub.

Now in its second year, DARE2BDRINKAWARE is a digital film competition open to third-level students throughout Ireland. It is sponsored by drinkaware.ie and organised by the Digital Hub Development Agency (DHDA). more>>

Autumn Courses Commencing

elevate autumn courses begin on Monday (October, 13) with 'Getting to know your Apple Mac'. Missionmaker Games Samples

 elevate learning Award Winner

Congratulations to Siobhan Clancy, elevate learning tutor who received the Marian Rollins Heritage and Education Award from Minister of State for the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Michael Kitt T.D. at the opening of Heritage week, August 24th in Kilkenny. She received this work for her work on the project 'To The Past and Back'. More>>
