Schools Scratch Showcase

(view on map)When:4 June 2009 10:00Description:Local students have been using Scratch in recent months to create their own interactive stories, games and animations. The 2009 Schools Showcase at The Digital Hub will exhibit their creative animations, with titles The Haunted School, The Forest of Doom and An Underwater Attack. Scratch is a programming environment developed at the MIT Media Lab that supports the development of 21st Century skills such as creative thinking, working with others, communicating and problem-solving. 165 students from ten local schools participated in the project, which was delivered as part of elevate - Learning at The Digital Hub.
